In 20 years of working in and with trees, owner Cormac Nagan has grown an experienced eye for how trees work throughout their lifespan and developed a passion for long-term tree health.

As his career as an arborist and highly-technical climber grew, Cormac’s focus on higher-level pruning naturally led to a penchant for a higher level of tree care. In addition to leading The Arborists, he is known as a consultant for the experts, brought in for highly technical preservation projects, removals and arborist training in Charlotte and across the country.

Cormac is proud recipient of the John G. Martin Award from the Southern Chapter of the International Society of Arboriculture, granted to an individual who exemplifies the backbone and soul of the profession. He is also a 5-time Top-Ten Finisher at the International Tree Climbing Competition, 7-time winner of Charlotte Tree Climbing Championship, and 2013 North American Tree Climbing Champion.
